A lecture by the architect, Prodromos Nikiforidis, will take place on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 19.30, at the Center for Mediterranean Architecture, as part of the exhibition of award-winning studies for the public space.

The studies were presented in the context of the 2nd conference entitled “Public Space +”, organized by the TEE / Department of Central Macedonia in March 2019 at the Sculpture Garden of Nea Paralia, in Thessaloniki.

The exhibition, which takes place in Katehaki Square, in the Old Town of Chania, in co-organization with the Technical Chamber of Greece – Department of Central Macedonia, the Municipality of Chania and KEPPEDHCH – KAM will last until Friday, April 29.

The exhibition of architectural studies includes studies, which were distinguished in architectural competitions, conducted in the years 2011 – 2019 and aims to familiarize the citizens of the city with issues such as the functional, semantic and aesthetic devaluation of public space in Greece and to highlight a number architectural solutions, which tried to provide answers to the above questions.

The exhibition was conceived and designed by the conference organizing committee. The architects Giorgos Daskalakis and Xanthi Baladima, members of the architectural office Ixnos Architects, in collaboration with the Architectural Committee of KEPPE, have taken care of the transfer of the exhibition to Chania and its adaptation to the area of ​​Katehaki Square. .Χ.-Κ.Α.Μ. Admission to the lecture is free, in accordance with the measures in force to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
