The Children’s Choir of the Municipality of Chania presents today, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 9:00 p.m., at the Theater of the Eastern Moat, the musical “Lilipoupoli”.

A few words about the project
“The songs of Lilipoupoli continue to raise generations of children of our homeland.
Lilipoupoli was the first full musical theater presentation by the children’s choir of the Municipality of Chania, directed by Giorgos Kaloutsis (2018).
Our production this year was based on the inspired script of Giorgos Kaloutsis. The new arrangements of the songs have many solos or duets to highlight the beautiful voices of our children and are accompanied by 2 pianos (or piano and orchestra – Nikos Perakis-Aphrodite Mitsotakis).
The direction by Maria Miroti as well as the choreography by Maria Paizi were enriched with new elements. Together with the sets, stage objects and the costumes of the roles signed by Lambrini Boviatsou, we have created a colorful and multidimensional musical theater puzzle that we aspire to enchant you”, says the director of the choir, Nikos Perakis.
