Αn educational event in the context of the thematic year of 100 years of Asia Minor Hellenism will take place, on Saturday, November 19, 2022, starting at 10 am. in the conference space of the Chrysopigi Monastery in the metohi of Agia Kyriaki, organized by the Directorate of Secondary Education of Chania in collaboration with the Regional Center for Educational Planning (PE.K.E.S.) of Crete.
During the event, students from Chania’s 1st High School and Nea Kydonia’s High School will present the actions they implemented for the 100th anniversary of the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
In the 2nd part, keynote speeches will be given by Efthymis Lekakis (historical researcher) and sister Theosemni (from I.M.X.).
The event will close with the Traditional Music Ensemble of the Therisos Music School of Chania.
The actions of the schools will be prefaced by Areti Marmataki, who is in charge of School Activities of the D. E. Chania Directorate.
The event is coordinated by Amalia Filippaki, education coordinator, PE.K.E.S. Crete.
