For almost three centuries, Crete has been at the forefront of new Greek literature, being its main point of contact with the Renaissance literature of the rest of Europe. The three-volume work of Stefanos Kaklamanis Cretan poetry in the years of the Renaissance (14th-17th century) (MIET 2020) is a panorama of its evolution that introduces the reader to its hinterland and anthologizes its leading moments.
Giannis Dimitrakakis, professor of modern Greek philology at the University of Crete, and Kostas Koutsourelis discuss the scholar.

Creator and performer of iconic songs that have been engraved in our collective memory for decades, a familiar face from the cinema as well, the Summer Master Swimmer Argyris Bakirtzis needs no further introduction.
With him in Chania in a concert of new and old songs, the new composer and pianist Giorgos Kostogiorgis and the accordionist Kostas Vombolos.
