KEPPEDICH – Centre for Mediterranean Architecture is organizing a two-day event (04-05 June) that will include a screening, lecture and an architecture workshop for children, on the occasion of the filming of the exhibition-tribute of MAXXI Museum, (National Museum of Arts of the 21st century), for the architect ALDO ROSSI, entitled “ALDO ROSSI: The architect and the cities”, last March (10 March – 14 November 2021) in Rome.

The project is the product of a collaboration between the production company Arteria Films and the Maxxi Museum and the Centre of Mediterranean Architecture, following an initiative by the architect Zacharias Pistopoulos and Valina Geropanda (architect, assistant professor of Pol.Crete), directed by Andrea Rovetta and the contribution of the head of MAXXI Architettura Pippo Ciorra.

For the first time, more than 350 objects, originals and models, paintings, drawings and studies designed and created by Aldo Rossi, architect, designer, theorist and critic, from 1960 to 1997, are exhibited in an impressive journey.

The documentary “ALDO ROSSI at MAXXI” will be screened for the first time on 04 June at 20:00 at the “Mikis Theodorakis” Theatre.

Foreword by Zacharias Pistopoulos, Andrea Rovetta and Valina Geropanda. A discussion will follow between the invited speakers Pippo Ciorra and Georgios Panetsos.

Pippo Ciorra is head curator of architecture at MAXXI, professor of Architectural Composition at the School of Architecture of Ascoli Piceno, University of Camerino, and advisor to the awards Medaglia d’oro all’architettura Italiana to the Milan Triennial, as well as the Mies van der Rohe Award of the MVDR Foundation.

Georgios Panetsos is Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the Department of Architecture of the University of Patras, of which he served as president for ten years.
