The exhibition of archival material entitled “The Lantern of Refugees – Football Stories from Asia Minor in Chania” was inaugurated on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Giali Tzami, in the Venetian Port of Chania.
With material of the football teams created by the people of Asia Minor, who came to our place after 1922. The exhibition includes the flags of the teams, as well as photos, cups, jerseys from their trip to our island. At the same time, reference is made to them, as well as to groups that participated from Asia Minor, through texts from the archives of the newspaper “Chaniotika Nea”.

The exhibition will be open to the public from Sunday 15 May 2022 until Sunday 29 May 2022. Opening hours: 10.00 – 13.00 & 19.00 – 22.00.
