Eleftheria Alifieraki’s book, entitled “Greek cuisine with the aroma of Crete”, which is published by Militos, was presented on the evening of Saturday, May 14, at an event held at the theater “Mikis Theodorakis” in the Venetian Port of Chania.
This is a book, which will be published in 8 languages in total, and readers will have the opportunity to discover more than 120 delicious “treasures”, with a strong aroma of Crete, from the inexhaustible “chest” of Greek cuisine.
Greetings at the beginning of the event were addressed by the Mayor of Chania Panagiotis Simandirakis and the Mayor of Platanias Giannis Malandrakis.
The Secretary General of EOT, Dimitris Fraggakis, the journalist, George Georgakakis and the operation executive chef, George Makris spoke about the publication, who, in addition to the book, referred, among other things, to the author, to the gastronomic tourism, to the advantages of Cretan Nutrition and the need to continue to remember our roots in the kitchen.
The event, which began with a radical “welcome” from the author’s father Dimitris Alifierakis, ended with a short speech by Eleftheria Alifierakis, who personally thanked all those who contributed to enable the publication of the book.
The presentation was coordinated by Eva Mandaka, while the event was organized by the bookstore “Biblioemporiki”.
