The young talented and promising Heraklion violinist Giannis Mageiropoulos will face a project that is the ultimate challenge in the repertoire for solo violin.

On Friday, May 13, 2022, at 20:00, in the Concert Hall of the Cultural – Conference Center of Heraklion (PSKI).

The 24 Caprices of Niccolo Pagganini is a collection of pieces in the form of master studies, but they do not lag behind at all in expressive requirements, as imposed by the romantic spirit of the 19th century, when they were written.

For the spectators of the events, there is the possibility of free parking in the underground parking lot of PSKI, during the events.

Giannis Mageiropoulos
Giannis Mageiropoulos was born in Heraklion, Crete in 2005.

He started violin lessons in 2014, initially under the guidance of Iraklis Thanasis under co-supervision from the end of 2016 with Evangelos Papadimitris, violinist of the Thessaloniki State Orchestra and then, from February 2020, with the eminent Greek violinist George Demertzis. In June 2019 he received a degree in Harmony and in July 2021 a diploma in violin.

He has participated as a member of youth orchestras in various events. As a student of the Music School of Heraklion, he participated in the Kretaburg band, while since February 2020 he has been a member of the Crete Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Heraklion.

Upon selection, in August 2019 he became a member of the Concertgebouworkest Young, participating in a summer school in Ede, the Netherlands, under the auspices of the famous Concertgebouworkest in Amsterdam.
